Former BJP MP from the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh and his son, BJP MLA Pratik Bhushan Singh, received death threats.
A police spokesperson, the MLA’s representative, Ajay Singh, filed a complaint with the city police station on Wednesday in this regard.

The police said Wednesday that MLA Pratik Bhushan Singh received a call from an unknown number on his mobile phone, threatening to kill him and his father. As per the complaint received by the police, the phone call, received at approximately 2:22 pm on June 14, lasted approximately 35 seconds, and contained a threatening tone. Given the seriousness of the matter, the MLA immediately informed the Superintendent of Police, Gonda. A case has been registered based on the complaint.
Forensic investigations linked the caller to the Alwar district in Rajasthan. The SIM card is registered in the name of Sandeep Sharma. The complaint also states that the MLA and his family have previously been targeted by various criminal gangs and anti-social elements.
Meanwhile, Gonda City Police Station Officer Bindeshwari Mani Tripathi stated that a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated seriously, and police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused. The real reason behind the threats will become clear only after the accused is apprehended.
